Inlays/Onlays in St. John's

Inlays and Onlays are used when the tooth has been damaged by decay so severely that a dental filling is not a solution anymore.

Inlays and Onlays are usually made of a tooth-coloured composite and are used to replace a small amount of tooth structure loss due to cavity.

Inlays are similar to fillings, but used when the cavity is too large for a dental filling. The Inlay is customized based on the shape and size of the cavity, and that solid piece is cemented in place.

An Onlay, however, similar to an Inlay, but also extends to the chewing surface of the tooth as well.
